We were asked to rehome a mum (5 yrs old), Guy, her older kitten and 4 kittens from a new litter, all from a multi cat household. Their owner had been told by their Social Housing provider that they had too many cats and they had to get rid of some or face eviction. (That’s why we always ask to see proof that the landlord has agreed to pets before we consider rehoming to anyone in rented accomodation.)

We were able to take mum and the kittens straight away as they could be housed together, with a fosterer, but as Guy was an unneutured male, we had to wait until we could give him a separate place to stay and he is now in a catio –  not ideal with winter coming but better than the streets and we are hoping to move him soon.
