We were contacted about Ziggy by an elderly lady who had taken him in after her neighbor passed away. Sadly, she was no longer able to care for him as she was moving into a care home.

When we went to meet Ziggy, she scanned his microchip and found a different address. We called the registered owner’s number, and after leaving a message, a woman rang back—Ziggy’s original owner, who had him from a kitten. He had been missing for months and, by all reports, had been taken in by several people in the neighbourhood. With upcoming travel plans and knowing he deserves stability, she made the difficult decision to surrender him.

At 11 years old, Ziggy will need a dental procedure before he is ready for adoption. He has settled in beautifully with our fosterer, and is adjusting well to being indoors. When the time comes, he will be best suited to a quiet home, ideally with an older person who has experience with longhaired cats or is able to have him groomed.

Ziggy is a stunning boy who deserves a loving, forever home. We will update when he is ready for adoption, but for now, he is safe and loved in foster care.

All our cats/kittens will be vet checked, neutered, vaccinated, flea’d and wormed, chipped, and come with 5 weeks free insurance.
